When people start planning wedding, one of the first things they look at are 

save-the-date-cards and invitations! Who isn't excited to pick those out?

There are so many things to decide on; paper invitations, RSVP cards, online invitations, 

handmade invitations, one-of-a-kind-invitations & DIY invitations. There is also colors to think about, fonts, styles, inners, ribbons and so much more.

We went ahead and decided to make our own, I designed, drew, printed, and put together 

these invitations with Cheyne. It took a while but we made it fun.

I am in love with them and they were much cheaper than the $600-$800 invitations

you order online, I feel like they also add a personal and neat touch.

You can also make them as formal or casual as you'd like.

We opted to put the RSVP on our wedding website, to not waste paper or stamps.

You can go online to multiple different sites to customize small 

touches like personal seals and address labels.  My grandma went online and found the 

forever stamp on the USPS website to add that extra bit to the envelope. 

These little details helped to add that finishing touch.

Blogmas 2015: Day 15

All year I love peppermint, but especially this time of year there is something special about sitting down with some peppermint tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.

The other day I made some Peppermint White Hot Chocolate.

 I used Ghirardelli White Chocolate Bars and 'Organic Valley' organic whole milk. 

Stir milk and chocolate together.

Chocolate is almost melted!

Stir in extracts.

Whipped cream, marshmallows and peppermint.

Ingredients:

- 4 cups of milk

- 8 oz. white chocolate, chopped

(Or white chocolate chips)

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

- toppings!

Marshmallows, Crushed peppermints, Whipped cream 

[My Homemade Whipped Cream would do perfectly for this.]

1. Stir milk and chopped white chocolate together in a medium saucepan. 

2. Cook over medium heat (Do not boil), stirring occasionally, until simmer and the chocolate is melted. 

3. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint and vanilla extract. 

4. Serve warm, with toppings. 

(If you have to wait a while to drink or serve it, then heat up in microwave or on the stove and stir in white chocolate that has settled on top and add toppings!)

Hello!! 

It has been a while since I have posted anything, But now I am back and typing! 

Since I've been gone I have gone to Italy, moved and got a new job!
I am going to be working from home so that will start a whole new chapter to my blog! 

I will be posting another travel post as soon as I have all of the pictures from the trip! Hopefully in the next two days!

I am also going to be posting a whole lot more DIY's and cooking posts!

As you may know I am getting married soon!!...ish??

So we are currently planning and looking at all the options we have and i have been looking at these websites and I found *this one*. I really think I like it. Most of the stuff is completely affordable and you can customize almost everything.

Here are some of the wedding favors I have been looking at:
I really like the idea of practical wedding favors, like tea, candles, coasters, note pads, etc.

I was debating giving people a huge picture of our faces...... But decided against it. ;)

1.Tea!!! 

So, I love tea! I was looking at these adorable tea sachets, I fell in love. They are literally the cutest things ever.

2. Candle Holders!!! 

another idea i really like is this chalkboard candle holders, because then who ever takes them can write what ever they want on them.

3.Stemless Wine Glasses!!!

Now, You could probably find these stemless wine glasses cheaper but i have not been able to find the style i like anywhere else. i really love the 'tree' style and the 'fall' style. I might get these.. I am not completely sure though. but I really love these ALOT!

Now... I have not planned anything in this aspect, I'm really just browsing and looking, these are just stuff that I really like the idea of, I feel people could use these not just during the wedding but after.

how to effectively label left overs.

So labeling left overs seems pretty normal right? like a pretty easy thing to do! i may or may not have a more effective way to store and label your left-overs. :)
A lot can go wrong when you take home left-overs. Say you forget they are in the fridge so they get shoved to the back, or You aren't sure exactly what something is and after its "prime time" it ends up looking like a bunch of strangely colored Octopus, possibly it you forget the date you got the food so now if you eat the still looking yummy left-overs you could be gambling you life!!  find a permanent marker.. like so :)

1.Find a Permanent marker. Like pictured below. 

Sharpie, fine point. 

2.Take each container, and label the top. (so if you get confused while eating there is an easy fix and you don't have to look around the sides for the side that's labeled.) Something simple.

Here are mine! :)

3. Next just label one side, i normally do the opposite side to where the container opens and closes.

So then in the end it fits very nicely in side your fridge and it's even visible!
